Virtually any target can be quickly and easily measured using Alpha technology, an improved alternative to ELISAs.

Such targets include biomarkers, cytokines, phospho-proteins, receptor-ligand interactions, biochemical enzymes, second messenger levels, DNA, RNA, proteins, protein-protein interactions, peptides, sugars, and small molecules.

Choose the homogeneous Alpha assay right for you:

AlphaLISA™ – AlphaLISA products are designed for the detection of molecules of interest in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants, or cell lysates in a sensitive, quantitative, reproducible, and user-friendly assay. Choose from a large portfolio of ready-to-use kits, or utilize the Alpha toolbox portfolio to create your own assay.

AlphaLISA™ SureFire® Ultra – Protein phosphorylation is a dynamic process, meticulously regulated by kinase and phosphatase cascades. This regulation is crucial for many cellular processes and has been identified as a key mechanism underlying various diseases. AlphaLISA SureFire Ultra assays provide a robust and reliable method for quantifying a targeted phosphorylation event in cell-based experiments and are less time consuming than Western Blotting.

The benefits of Alpha technology

  • Ease-of-use: homogeneous assay with no wash requirement and no separation steps
  • Fast: results in 3 hours for most applications
  • High sensitivity: detect down to femtogram levels of target
  • Large dynamic range: 4-5 logs
  • Compatible with many sample types: serum, plasma, cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), tissue extracts, cell culture supernatants, cell lysates, and more
