APC-labeled streptavidin, for use in LANCE® TR-FRET protein binding assays.
Revvity offers two versions of SureLight APC-SA: one protein binding assays, and one kinase assays. SureLight APC-SA protein binding assays has a ratio of APC:streptavidin that has been optimized to achieve best performance in protein binding applications.
LANCE® (Lanthanide chelate excite) and LANCE® Ultra are our TR-FRET (time-resolved fluorescence resonance energy transfer), homogeneous (no wash) technologies. One molecule of interest is labeled with a donor fluorophore (a LANCE Europium chelate) and second molecule is labeled with an acceptor fluorophore [ULight™ dye, allophycocyanin (APC), etc.]. Upon excitation at 320 or 340 nm, energy can be transferred from donor Europium chelate to acceptor fluorophore if sufficiently close FRET (~10 nm). This results in emission of light at 665 nm (ULight dye and APC).
