Each kit contains 0.2 mg labeling reagent plus Sm-standard, DELFIA Enhancement Solution, Sm-stabilizer, purified BSA for increasing the stability of labeled proteins, an uncoated microtitration strip plate, DELFIA Assay Buffer and DELFIA Wash Concentrate. The kit contents are sufficient for a labeling of up to 1 mg of protein or antibody.
N1 chelates can be used in DELFIA separation assays where the concentration of chelating agents is < 0.05 mmol/L, pH >7, and the temperature is < 38°C. They are suitable for highly sensitive end point measurements in separation based assays such those for detection of protein-protein binding and cell adhesion as well as for immunoassays. Isothiocyanate activated chelates react primarily with free lysines on the compound to be labeled.
