This Cyanine 5 labeled analog of cytidine triphosphate (CTP) is used for labeling RNA probes via in vitro transcription with various RNA polymerases. Cyanine 5 labeled RNA probes are used in a variety of molecular biology applications including in situ hybridization and gene expression microarrays. Labeled products may be detected directly via fluorescence.
