The AlphaLISA® immunoassay kit for IL13 is designed for the quantitative determination of IL13 in porcine serum, plasma, and cell culture supernatants using a homogeneous AlphaLISA assay (no wash steps). The assay shows minimal cross-reactivity with human IL13.
For research use only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. All products to be used in accordance with applicable laws and regulations including without limitation, consumption & disposal requirements under European REACH regulations (EC 1907/2006).

Features:
Interleukin 13 (IL13) is secreted by many cell types, especially T helper type 2 (Th2) cells. IL-13 is functionally similar to the IL4 and an important mediator of allergic airway-inflammatory diseases including airway hyperresponsiveness, goblet cell metaplasia and mucus hypersecretion. IL13 is known to play an important role in early pregnancy, vaccination, porcine respiratory syndrome. Levels of IL13 are associated with airway inflammtion in asthma and other airway diseases. This kit is designed to detect IL13 in serum, plasma, and cell culture supernatants.p>
AlphaLISA technology allows the detection of molecules of interest in a no-wash, highly sensitive, quantitative assay. In an AlphaLISA assay, a biotinylated anti-analyte antibody binds to the Streptavidin-coated Donor beads while another anti-analyte antibody is conjugated to AlphaLISA Acceptor beads. In the presence of the analyte, the beads come into close proximity. The excitation of the Donor beads causes the release of singlet oxygen molecules that triggers a cascade of energy transfer in the Acceptor beads, resulting in a sharp peak of light emission at 615 nm.
