Lymphocyte cytosolic protein 2 (SLP76) is a signal-transducing adaptor protein encoded by LCP2. This protein acts as a substrate of the T cell antigen receptor (TCR)-activated protein tyrosine kinase pathway. Activated SLP76 translocates to the plasma membrane and promotes a multi-protein complex which participates in the activation, survival, and proliferation of T-Lymphocytes. SLP76 is associated with numerous therapeutic areas, including diseases such as multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, and cancer.
