α-bungarotoxin, labeled with 125I on tyrosine residue 54. α-bungarotoxin is a snake venom neurotoxin that acts as an antagonist at nicotinic acetylcholine receptors (nAChRs). This product as offered at two specific activities. Specific activity indicates how much radioactivity there is per molecule of ligand. Several of our 125I-labeled ligands are offered at maximum specific activity (2200 Ci/mmol if one 125I labeling site is available). This indicates that virtually every molecule of ligand provided in the stock vial is radiolabeled.
For research use only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.

We offer radioligands and radiolabeled biomolecules to use as tracers, for radioimmunoassays (RIAs), for autoradiographic visualization, or for performing saturation and competition radioligand binding assays to determine receptor expression levels (Bmax), dissociation constants (Kd), association and dissociation rates (kon and koff), and inhibitor constants (Ki) for a variety of receptors. We develop our radioligands to the highest specific activity possible and provide high purity resulting in low non-specific binding products. Each of our ultra-pure radiolabeled compounds is fully characterized for pharmacological action and validated in binding assays.
Radiochemicals remain the most sensitive method for probing binding biology; yielding unprecedented sensitivity gives results that technicians and scientists can trust. For over 50 years, Revvity has been a leading supplier of New England Nuclear (NEN) radiochemicals, liquid scintillation cocktails, vials and nuclear counting detection instruments.
