Protocol optimization for detection and quantification of membrane-bound proteins using AlphaLISA technology

Membrane proteins, which are key in cellular signaling and often serve as disease biomarkers, are a significant focus in research and pharmaceutical studies. However, studying these proteins in cells presents challenges due to varying biomarker quantities, protein location within different cellular compartments, variable expression levels and protein extraction ease across different cell lines, and the need for significant optimization to develop a successful cell-based detection assay.

To address these challenges, an efficient detection platform is needed. The Amplified Luminescence Proximity Homogenous Assay (Alpha) technology platform has proven to be an effective solution. AlphaLISA kits can measure hundreds of targets, including cytokines, blood circulating proteins, and cellular proteins.
