Streamline sonication workflows

Revvity offers accessories, including ultrasonic tip probes, stands, and sound abatement chambers for the OM50, OM100, and OM500 Sonicators. Just as we offer sonicators of varying power ranging from 50 watts to 500 watts for a variety of lab applications, we also offer their supporting accessories to maintain the flexibility you may need in your workflows that require sample sonication. Popular applications include cell disruption/cell lysis, chromatin or DNA shearing, and nanoparticle dispersion.

Ultrasonic tip probes

MicroTips, tips, and replaceable tip diameter probes/horns of a range of sizes made of solid titanium. The OM500 sonicator leverages microtips for high-intensity, small volume applications while the combination of the standard replaceable tip probe and replacement probe tips support larger volumes related to tip diameter. The OM 50/OM100 sonicators have a shared set of probes, with diameters ranging from 2.0 mm - 6.4 mm that collectively permits processing in 200 µL - 50 mL volumes.

Support stands

General support stands for OM50/OM100 or support stands for OM500 are of stainless steel rod and base, along with converter holder/clamp. A heavy-duty, adjustable jack stand that permits raising and lowering of samples is available to securely hold horns in place and ensure all tips are level during processing. For labs needing sound abatement, a sound enclosure is recommended instead of a support stand.

Sound abatement enclosures

These chambers for OM50/OM100 or chambers for OM500 reduce noise by approximately 20 dBa and come equipped with an internal support rod and converter mounting system. Generally, not compatible with standalone support stands.
