Chemiluminescent substrates are important tools in the detection of proteins and nucleic acids. Essentially, chemiluminescence blot detection starts when the primary antibody recognizes and binds to the target protein or nucleic acid immobilized on a membrane. This is followed by a secondary antibody labeled with an enzyme such as horseradish peroxidase (HRP) or alkaline phosphatase (AP). A chemiluminescent substrate for the particular enzyme is then applied to the blot causing a light emitting reaction which is then detected, signaling the presence of the target.
Our premier line of premixed one-component chemiluminescent HRP substrates, are available with protein detection sensitivity from picogram to low femtogram to cover all your detection needs. Using a proprietary technology, our premixed solution enables greater experimental consistency by avoiding pipetting errors and possible contamination.
Our range of two-component chemiluminescent HRP substrates offers protein detection at varying sensitivities to fit your needs.
Use our chemiluminescent substrates for sensitive and consistent detection of proteins in a wide range of biochemistry, immunogenetic, and molecular biology applications.
